Ricards offers a safe environment to learn but also helps you accept who you are, through clubs such as the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender support group) and the YTC team (Youth that cares team).

I have always enjoyed being part of the Music department's events at Ricards since I was a small and shy Year 7. They have really boosted my skill and love for the subject. Extra-curricular clubs like Band and Orchestra have given me the opportunities to make wonderful new friends and feel involved in the school environment.

Being part of Model United Nations (MUN) has improved my public speaking and confidence, which I am able to apply to both in and out of school. I am thankful that the school gave me the opportunity to do this, as now I am confident enough to say what I think and what I believe in. It’s also given me more knowledge of the world around me and what I can do to make a change.
