What Our Girls Say

Year 11, Deputy Head Girl

I'm very proud to be a part of this year's JLT alongside all the other capable and hardworking girls on the team.

When I started at Ricards Lodge, I was quite reserved when speaking up and didn't have the confidence to allow my voice to be heard. However, throughout my time at Ricards, it has allowed me to work on that self-confidence from having made friends in Year 7 to being a part of the JLT.

I really enjoy BTEC Sport, BTEC Performing and History as those are my strengths, and they give me a chance to do better, not just in my grades but in myself.

In Year 10 I started a discussion group where people speak about the issues they have when feeling left out whether it is to do with race, religion or diversity in general. As for me being a part of this leadership team, as a leader, I always feel like a good trait to have is to listen to others, so we all understand each other.

My aspirations for when I leave Ricards next year is to get GCSE grades I know I can achieve then hopefully go on to A-levels.

As a Ricards Lodge student I follow the school values; Trust, Equality, Resilience and Aspiration. These four words encourage me to never give up and lead me through my years at Ricards Lodge.
