What Our Girls Say

Nathalie

Year 11, Deputy Head Girl

As a Cultural Ambassador and now Deputy Head Girl, I have seen the importance of diversity, equality and inclusion at Ricards and I am therefore looking forward to the continued growth in this area at our School.

My aim is to aid in the creation of a school environment every student can identify with and feel represented. There is a place for everyone whether it's Sports, Drama, Dance, STEM subjects or any other activity they may choose to take part in at Ricards. As part of the JLT it is important that we support our peers: offering help and advice to those who need it. We all hope that every student gains the confidence to share their experience and have an impact on others.

During my time at Ricards I have been able to benefit from all the extracurricular activities and student leadership opportunities on offer. Such as being on the basketball, football and athletics teams where I was able to play sports that I enjoy. Whilst on the SMSC working party we were able to encourage students to be reflective of their own beliefs and experiences. As a Jack Petchey regional finalist I have been able to further develop my communication skills in the Debate club.

I have been given many opportunities at Ricards that have allowed me to make the most of my own strengths and grow into a confident young leader who wants to be a strong voice for the students in other years.
