Open Events Information Page

We hope you have enjoyed attending our Open Evening or one of our Open Mornings.  We welcome visitors to our school and are proud to share with you our ethos and how this works in everyday practice for students, parents and staff. We value your feedback at Ricards Lodge and would like to hear about what you and your daughter enjoyed during the events.

Please take the time to explore more of what we do across this website but we have identified specific information you may find useful at the time. Below you will find links to help you with the next steps to considering Ricards Lodge High School for your daughter's secondary school education:

As a school, we pride ourselves on how our core values of Trust, Equality, Resilience and Aspiration permeate all aspects of school life.  Examples of this include:

  • Adapting our curriculum models across each Key Stage to ensure each cohort of students maximises their attainment, enabling them to have a wide variety of choices for their futures
  • Leadership roles for students throughout each year group with regular student voice opportunities, where students work with staff to develop our school policies and practices and to support each other's learning
  • A vibrant variety of extra-curricular opportunities for students ranging from weekly clubs to overseas trips and opportunities to represent the school at a national level
  • Productive partnerships across the local and wider community, for example:
    • Kings College School and Wimbledon High School
    • Rutlish School (for our joint sixth form RR6)
    • St Georges and Roehampton Universities
    • New Wimbledon Theatre
    • Wimbledon Bookfest
  • Staff engaging in action research and contributing to teacher training programmes and national education policymaking through Teach Wimbledon, The SSAT and Westminster Insight.

All admissions to the school at any time of year are managed by the London Borough of Merton. You can see the current admissions criteria and apply online at the London Borough of Merton admission website.
