Huge congratulations to our Y13 students who achieved our highest results ever this summer. Their results were extremely impressive at both A level and L3 BTEC. These are the school’s first external examination results since 2019 and staff are very proud of our students’ excellent performance.

To have achieved such results having worked so hard through a period of great challenge is a testament to their resilience and aspirations for themselves.

Over a third (37%) of all A-level results were at A* and A grades. Over 2/3 (68%) of all A level grades were at A* to B and 92% of A level grades were at A* to C. 100% of A level students achieved a grade.

BTEC results were equally impressive. 36% of BTEC entries gained the highest Distinction* grade. 73% achieved Distinction* to Distinction grades, 96% Distinction* to Merit grades and 100% of entries were successful.

We congratulate all our students who have secured some great university places and apprenticeships.  With 90% of our students applying to university, a third of those gained one or more offers from prestigious universities and the remaining students had offers from other competitive universities in the UK. One of our students has successfully gained a place at the University of Oxford to read English Language and Literature.

Students will be studying a range of subjects from Pharmacy, Law, Biomedical Science, Psychology, Engineering, Midwifery, Primary Education, Physiotherapy, Real Estate Management, Business Management, Zoology, Film Production, English and Drama, and Diagnostic Radiotherapy.

One student has successfully achieved a place on a higher degree apprenticeship in Computer Science with the Ministry of Defence and two students will be taking an Art Foundation at Central St Martins.  Other students will be gaining experience, studying Catering at a further education college, apprenticeships in Accounting and Finance and employment.
