Independent Learning Information

At Ricards Lodge we aim to foster a love of learning. To complement the learning students do within their classrooms, we have provided access to an additional online learning platform: Massolit (KS4/5).

This platform can be accessed by all students using their school Google account log in.

Please find an overview of what it can be used for and how to access:

Massolit:

How to log in: To log in, use the ‘Log in using single sign on’ option, then search and select Ricards Lodge. On the next page, select your school Google account.

What it is:

  • Massolit specialises in providing high-quality video lectures for a broad range of subjects and has over 10,200 bite-size video lectures.

  • These lectures are delivered by university academics or specialists in their field, providing in-depth analysis and insights.

  • It's an excellent resource for students who want to delve deeper into their subjects and gain a more comprehensive understanding of complex topics.

  • Students can use the notebook feature to record all notes they make within the platform, which will be saved in their notebook folder within the platform and can be accessed whenever needed for revision.

  • Staff can also assign students playlists and lectures to watch/ complete notes and quizzes on.

  • Massolit lectures can be referenced in EPQ projects and student coursework.

  • Students can access the website as well as use the app.

Logging in with Google Accounts:

  • To streamline access, we encourage students to log in using their school-provided Google accounts. Reminder, Massolit has a Google login button that can be clicked instead of entering the details manually.

  • This simplifies the login process and ensures that students can easily access their accounts from any device.

  • Using the school account will ensure any work completed independently, and any work set by teachers will all be included in the progress summary when logging in.

  • If any student has trouble logging in, please let your Tutor know.
